Is covering the face (niqab) required before non-mahram men?
Answer
The Deobandi scholars hold that, especially in times of widespread temptation, a woman should cover her face in front of non-mahram men when going out. This is based on the verses of hijab and the practice of the Mothers of the Believers and the early Muslim women.
